Development of a document management system

Since the second half of 2020 I've been cooperating on the development of a document management platform for a big manufacturer. This software allows to save, catalogue, query and open documents via its web interface, separating them by customer, project and item.

This software takes care of checking the file-system structure to identify added or removed documents, warning the user of any anomalies. While creating items and projects, the file-system is automatically populated with the necessary folders, info files and links to allow navigating through the content directly using Windows Explorer.

Moreover, the software can synchronize with the company's ERP software to import customers, items, operations, and work centers.

The system is able to assist in generating the Bill of Materials (BOM) and compute the final price of the lot, according to the specifications given by the company. It will then be possible to upload such Bill of Materials directly on the company's ERP, this way the production team will be able to access it immediately.
